Over the past five years, Orbita|Spellbound National Centre for Dance Production has, under the direction of Valentina Marini, curated Rome’s dance season, spanning from the cold winter days of January to May’s summer-like evenings.

From 9 July to 9 August 2026, ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival will once again bring together the international dance and performance scene in Vienna. In addition to Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Katerina Andreou and Boris Charmatz, Leïla Ka, Phia Ménard, Eun-Me Ahn and Christos Papadopoulos will also be appearing for the first time, as will TAO Dance Theatre with a world premiere.

The 54th edition of the prestigious Prix de Lausanne ballet competition took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from February 1 to 7, 2026. It culminated in the final evening on Saturday, February 7, during which fourteen of the twenty-one selected finalists were awarded prizes. At the same time, French prima ballerina Sylvie Guillem received an award for her lifetime contribution to the world of dance.

Twenty choreographers and directors demonstrated their artistic abilities in the innovative work DVACETjedna (Twenty-One), in which the author of the concept and sole performer, Miřenka Čechová, placed herself in their hands.

The career of Italian dancer Federico Ievoli, currently a first soloist with the Czech National Ballet, has shown a consistently upward trajectory over the past decade. He has gradually progressed from corps de ballet roles to leading parts in both the classical and contemporary repertoire, earning the attention of general audiences as well as critics.

Denudation – this is the leitmotif of this year's 24th Malá inventura festival, which traditionally takes place in February and presents a selection of the most compelling performances created in the Czech Republic over the past season in the field of new, contemporary and independent theatre across genres.
